
Homecoming 1979
The 1979 Leesville High School Homecoming, themed “Class Presidents,” honored alumni leaders with a weekend of tradition and celebration. On Friday, October 26, events included registration, coffee, the school assembly, a Dutch Treat luncheon at Leesville Country Club, the downtown parade, and the Homecoming football game against Opelousas. Festivities continued on Saturday, October 27, with a barbecue at Leesville City Park and the Alumni Dance at the National Guard Armory, featuring music by the Marion Deaton Orchestra. The 1979 program celebrated leadership, unity, and enduring Wampus Cat pride for alumni, students, and the Leesville community.
