The 1981 Leesville High School Homecoming, themed “The Best Place to Be,” was a vibrant weekend of Wampus Cat pride. On Friday, October 23, events included registration, coffee, a spirited assembly, the Dutch Treat luncheon at the Holiday Inn, the lively Third Street parade, and the Homecoming football game against Washington at LHS Stadium. The celebration continued on Saturday, October 24, with a family barbecue at Leesville City Park and the Alumni Dance at the National Guard Armory, featuring music by the Harmon Drew Group. The 1981 Homecoming truly reflected tradition, unity, and the spirit of Leesville High.

The 1982 Leesville High School Homecoming, themed “If…A Picture Paints A Thousand Words,” celebrated tradition, unity, and Wampus Cat pride. On Friday, October 15, alumni enjoyed registration, coffee, a spirited school assembly, luncheon at the Holiday Inn, the downtown parade, and the Homecoming football game, where Leesville faced Sam Houston. The celebration continued on Saturday, October 16, with a family barbecue at Leesville City Park and the Alumni Dance at the American Legion Hall, featuring music by the Harmon Drew Group. The 1982 program created lasting memories and honored the shared legacy of Leesville High School alumni.

The 1983 Leesville High School Homecoming, themed “Football, Hotdogs, Apple Pie and LHS,” was a proud celebration of tradition and school spirit. On Friday, November 4, alumni enjoyed registration, coffee, a spirited assembly, the Dutch Treat luncheon at the Holiday Inn, the downtown parade, and the Homecoming football game against Sam Houston. Festivities continued on Saturday, November 5, with a barbecue at Leesville City Park and the Alumni Dance at the American Legion Hall featuring the Harmon Drew Group. The 1983 program highlighted unity, pride, and lasting Wampus Cat traditions for alumni, students, and the community.

The 1984 Leesville High School Homecoming, themed “Yesterday – Once More,” brought alumni, students, and the community together for a weekend of tradition and pride. On Friday, October 26, events included registration, coffee, a spirited school assembly, a luncheon at the Holiday Inn, the downtown parade, and the Homecoming football game against Jennings High School. Festivities continued on Saturday, October 27, with a family barbecue at Leesville City Park and the Alumni Dance at the American Legion Hall. The 1984 Homecoming celebrated the strength of Wampus Cat traditions and the lasting bonds of the Leesville High community.

The 1985 Leesville High School Homecoming, themed “Back to the Future,” celebrated tradition and pride with two days of spirited events. On Friday, October 25, alumni enjoyed registration, coffee, a school assembly, luncheon at the Holiday Inn, the parade, and the Homecoming football game against Alexandria Senior High at LHS Stadium. The celebration continued on Saturday, October 26, with a family barbecue at Leesville City Park and the Alumni Dance at the American Legion Hall. With its theme connecting past and future, the 1985 Homecoming highlighted unity, spirit, and the lasting legacy of the Wampus Cats.

The 1986 Leesville High School Homecoming, themed “Spirits Soar,” was a lively two-day celebration of tradition and Wampus Cat pride. On Friday, October 31, events included registration, coffee, a spirited assembly, luncheon at St. Michael’s Center, the downtown parade, and the Homecoming football game against Barbe High School at LHS Stadium. The celebration continued on Saturday, November 1, with a barbecue at Leesville City Park and the Alumni Dance at the American Legion Hall. The 1986 Homecoming reflected the pride, unity, and soaring spirit of Leesville High, leaving alumni and students with unforgettable memories.
