Homecoming 1973

The 1973 Leesville High School Homecoming Program united alumni, students, and the community for two days of celebration filled with Wampus Cat pride. On Friday, October 19, the schedule included coffee and an assembly at the high school, a Dutch Treat luncheon at the Continental Motor Lodge, a spirited downtown parade, and the highlight of the weekend—the football game between the Wampus Cats and Eunice High School. On Saturday, October 20, festivities continued with another luncheon featuring alumni officer elections, closing with the Alumni Dance at the National Guard Armory, a joyful finale to the Homecoming weekend.

Homecoming 1974

The 1974 Leesville High School Homecoming was a lively weekend of reunion, tradition, and Wampus Cat pride. On Friday, October 25, alumni gathered for coffee and an assembly at the high school, followed by a Dutch Treat luncheon at the Continental Motor Lodge and a spirited parade in downtown Leesville. The day ended under the lights as the Wampus Cats faced Rayne High School in an exciting football matchup. On Saturday, October 26, festivities continued with another luncheon, officer elections, and the Alumni Dance at the National Guard Armory, celebrating unity, community, and the lasting spirit of LHS.

Homecoming 1975

The 1975 Leesville High School Homecoming was a memorable weekend filled with tradition, pride, and community. On Friday, October 24, alumni enjoyed coffee at the high school, a spirited assembly, a Dutch Treat luncheon at the Continental Motor Lodge, the downtown parade, and the Homecoming football game against Rayne High School. Festivities continued on Saturday, October 25, with another luncheon and the election of alumni officers, followed by the Alumni Dance at the National Guard Armory. The 1975 Homecoming honored Leesville’s history while bringing alumni and students together to celebrate the enduring legacy of the Wampus Cats.

Homecoming 1976

The 1976 Leesville High School Homecoming celebrated tradition, school spirit, and community support. Sponsored by dozens of local businesses, including Sartor Motor Co., Phoenix Rexall Drugs, The Vernon Bank, and Palmer Motor Co., the event was a true community effort. The LHS Alumni Association extended heartfelt thanks to all who contributed, from shops and service providers to banks and real estate agencies. Their generosity made the souvenir program and the weekend festivities possible, ensuring that alumni, students, and families enjoyed a memorable celebration of Wampus Cat pride and the strong ties that unite Leesville.
